Cups of Light - a few of last year's tulips in the hot bright garden this afternoon.
This morning I weed the asparagus beds at the allotment under the shade of my old wide brimmed straw hat....carry watering cans, two at a time, from the trough to the new seed beds which I planted with my sister last week - peas and beetroot, spinach and rocket....and pick small pink stems of rhubarb, a bunch of wild white flowering garlic, finger fat leeks and tender sprigs of purple sprouting broccoli. All Robin's work from last year.
I miss him and his old passion for growing things. Gone now along with the husband I had.
