My friend's dog has started to suffer from separation anxiety. He doesn't like being on his own. When they go out he chews up the back door.
I have reverse separation anxiety. If I don't have enough time on my own I forget who I am. And I chew myself up.
I miss important appointments. The ones that re-connect me to myself.
Luckily, unlike the dog, I know what's going on....I can write it out...talk it out...cook it out.
Make time for me.
Say no. And spit out the guilt.
